November 10, 2019

We kicked-off a month-long celebration that started on November 11 through December 8.

All the activities were planned by the
140th Anniversary Committee.

By the grace of God and Christs love we Glorify, Grow and Go into the world to witness and serve.
The History Committee chose the image of Christ knocking at the door – Christ coming into our lives.
Paul emphasized this in his letters to the church at Philippi (where we have taken our scripture passage from) Philippians 4:4.

Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say Rejoice!

Did you know? Rev. Clinton Lepley pastor of the Beckleysville Charge in 1873 began to preach to Lutherans. Shortly thereafter Red Men's Hall (which is in the vicinity of the auto parts store on Main Street) was rented and the first Sunday School was organized.

While Martin Luther was a professor at Wittenberg University, he designed this seal. He declared that this is the “expression of his theology.”
